So what, he cheats. Steriods and corked bats don't make a great baseball player.

Since Sports are just entertainment and we want all the BANG for our bucks we can get we should Encourage ALL athletes to take as many Steroids or other substances they want!!!! It would increase the Entertainment factor a great deal! Hell apparently Pro Athletes have been performing for YEARS with junk in their system like Doc Ellis in 1970 pitching a No hitter on LSD

http://www.sirbacon.org/4membersonly/docellis.htm

I bet if mike Bacsik had taken some Acid and was pitching to Bonds it would have been a HELL OF AN AT BAT!!!!!

Baseball is too slow a sport anyway. Everytime you see a game on tv it is some major venue like New York. If you ever see the rest of the teams the stadiums are not even 1/4 full.
I remember seeing an Expos game on tv before they left town, some guy hit a home run and the ball landed in the bleachers, which were empty. The announcers were laughing because it took a fan about five minutes to make it there to get the ball.

By the time you figure in a one or two hour commute to the game, then a four hour game and another two hours home you have spent 8 hours. God forbid if it goes into extra innings.

It is just too boring. Then you have Bonds, McGuire and Palmerro juicing. Overpaid crybabies.

I can't imagine being Mike Bacsik after giving up that home run. They stopped the game for 10 minutes after B*rry hit 756, and all Bacsik could do in the dugout was think "I just gave up the most important home run in baseball history."

Anyone know if Acta let Bacsik keep pitching after that?

Where do you live? Where I come from they broadcast games from a town called Washington, D.C. Expos? Why do you think they moved? The Expos are now the Nationals. And the bleachers are NOT empty. If you want to go to a game, it's not a commute, you can get rowdy and eat hotdogs and do some heckling, and its not boring. If you want boring, go to a soccer game. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Although they are overpaid.

If you think asterisk, then you can sport this tee. I just might buy this.

I said I remember seeing a game, I didnt say it was last week. The expos played in a mostly empty stadium.

"you can get rowdy and eat hotdogs and do some heckling"
What does that have to do with baseball? You can do that sitting in your back yard. Sounds like baseball is just an excuse to let loose and pay 8 bucks for a warm beer and seven dollars for a cold hot dog.

The Nationals are still an oddity in DC. Give them a few more years of losing seasons in the new stadium and see how many butts are in the seats.
You also have to remember the Nationals like the Redskins sell a lot of tickets to corporations. They use it as a tax write off and to wine and dine clients.
Everytime you hear how the Redskins are sold out yet you go there and see half the stadium is empty when it gets near the end of the season and they have no hopes of making the playoffs.

My opinion only that I find it boring and looking at some of the ratings for viewers so do many other people. fifteen minutes to get past one batter is boring in my book.Switching pitchers three times in one inning and being bombarded with commercials is very boring.

Without loooking very hard I find this from last night and remember that is a Friday night when most people are off the next day.

Kansas City/Toronto final score 2-1 *YAWN*
Time of game: 3:10
Attendance: 21,276

That's not a particularly good crowd for a Friday night, but it's the Royals, so...

That's about a half-capacity crowd. Not good in most cities, but probably decent for KC.

I'd like to see David Beckham throw a soccer ball 95 MPH and hit a target that's about 3 square feet.

Soccer balls don't do 90 mph - more like 40 or 50... Possibly a penalty kick by the baddest motherfucker might push 70 mph...

Not quite.

Also, I have no idea what's wrong with soccer fans that they don't mind a 0-0 tie. Someone always wins in baseball.

Have you ever seen a baseball player fall on his ass pretending to be hurt just so the game would stop for a minute?

First of all, kicks definitely go 90 mph especially over in europe. 2nd of all David Beckham is way past his prime so Don't even say he's the best player in the MLS. 3rd of all, Noone is happy with a 0-0 tie? that was a retarted statement. and lastly, they go down because soccer actually does have phsyical contact and even if they are fakin its because soccer contains running back and forth for a whole game, I'm pretty sure baseball doesn't do that. No offense to baseball but it is a lot more boring.

there both good sports in different ways. I personally think baseball is more boring but I think baseball is more American which is why it draws larger crowds, but DC united has also won the most titles but maybe just maybe the nationals will win one in the next 10 years.

if you look at the Home run stats this year besides Bonds they are all back down to pre 94ish levels. The steroids are seeping back out of baseball. I wouldnt be naive enough to believe they are ALL gone but its getting better.

Bonds lost big time. I have yet to see a major endorsement for him. He is a third rail for commercials.
