1999 - i was on a flight to houston and was seated a couple of rows from mike judge. as we were disembarking the plane i said to mike:
"love your wit, keep it comin'"
"have you seen office space?" mike said
"not yet" i said
"then you're not a fan" he replied

I was on a little puddle jumper once with Jackie Onassis coming back from Martha's Vineyard.

My sis and I ran into one of those Real World dudes at Ft. Lauderdale Airport. She had her photo taken with him (I didn't even know who he was at first).

Oh, I was also skiing at Massanutten years ago, and my family ended up hanging out with Coach Norv Turner and his fam (We just ran into them, and hit it off).

While in the Bahamas, I ran into Art Monk, and I talked to him for a while. He's an extremely cool individual, and he's every bit the professional.

In the Reston McD's as a kid, I remember running into Mark Rypien. We talked to him for a while as well, and again, he and his fam were genuinely nice folks.

I have plenty of other celeb encounters, but not all of them were random.

I think there should be a rule that, if you can't identify the celebrity by name, they're not a celebrity.

Saw Chris Cooley at the Monterey Fish Grotto last year.(Sat two tables away)

Back in 1995, happened to be staying at the same hotel on the night the Redskins had a dinner/function to honor members of the team. Met Ken Harvey, Jim Lachey and Darrel Green. Real nice guys.

Had a job at the Four Seasons in Georgetown several years ago; Condaleeza Rice was there holding talks with some Arab head of state. One week later, the Terminator was there. Saw him and Maria getting into a limo.

Twenty-odd years ago, was standing on the sidewalk at the Old Post Office Building on 1st Street, next to Union Station, when Reagan drove by in a motorcade. He waved at me. Years later, was standing on Independence Ave when the funeral motorcade passed by on its way out of the city. It was going slow enough that Nancy looked right at me and waved.

Saw Laura Bush and the Italian equivalent going into National Gallery of Art's East Building for a viewing. Also saw Mrs. Bush the year before at NGA's West Building for a viewing. Real nice lady. Liked art a lot.

In 1986, I saw Secretary of State George Schultz and Senator Ted Kennedy at the Saudi Arabian Embassy. There was a celebration going on for the sale of Stinger shoulder fired missiles to the Afghanistans. Those same weapons would later wind up in the hands of the Iraqis and be used against the U.S. in the with Iraq. There were probably many other celebrity politicians there, too, but I didn't seem to recognize them as being heavy power hitters.

One thing is for sure though, most of those politicians had some nice, young blonds attached to their arms for the evening.

ok, well let me see which name i should drop first.

I sat at a table next to John Lennon and Yoko at a benefit for the arts in a theatre in NYC. Also at their table was Carly Simon and James Taylor. Carly and I searched for the ladies' room together. (my pic was in WWD)

Umm.. let's see, I was in a small linen shop which one of my sisters just happens to manage when Diana Ross walked in. Also, someone mentioned Jakie O. Well she used to shop at the same store, so I saw her a few times..

Oh, let me think... Tony Randall was at some function where my father was making a few pictures... he sang a song to me and started dancing with me on a sidewalk.

Ummm, when i was really little... not that I'm too big now..... but you know what i mean... Joe Namath.. I didn't really care about meeting him.

Paul Newman with my cousin in CT, in an ice cream shop.

Meryl Streep in a restaurant in the village. Didn't speak to her.

Mary Tyler Moore.... during some ad thing my father was doing. I don't remember wtf it was about.

Ginger Rogers... met her. She had a business thing with a friend of mine. She was old.

Robert Redford walked into P.J.Clarks when I has having drinks with friends. (we made eye contact- I think he wanted me)

Mayor Koch... function with my father.

I used to go to the Alfred E. Smith Dinner.. I don't remember who I met or saw there.

I don't really care about meeting famous people. (well except for the time Robert Redford was lusting after me.)

Here comes eesh telling me how full of shit I am!

Bumped into (literally) Henry "the Fonz" Winkler on the sidewalk

in Georgetown.

Rode in an elevator with Shawn Johnson, the gymnast, in Beijing in '08

Man, I thought I was short.

Rode in an elevator with Bob Dole in D.C. I said "Hi, how are you?"

He said "Bob Dole is fine thank you".

Walked past Lauren Hutton in The Commons in Boston.

eesh, tell me... do you think I made up the whole thing or are you implying that Robert Redford couldn’t possibly have been lusting after me in P.J. Clarks?

actually, im trying to stroke his ego and i feel a little bad about beating him in the hula hoop contest.

edit: took out an apostrophe that was illegal anyway.

You are responsible for the whole Eli vs Conie crapflood, you send private messages to people that have made it clear they want nothing to do with you, and you write like a child discovering the internet for the first time.

Then there's how you found Fairfax Underground.....you were in rehab for a cocaine addiction and you met a young guy named Eli you became infatuated with.
You were then released from rehab and then became searching for your precious Eli on the internet, backgrounds checks, etc. You found the Eli that posted on this site and became obsessive and were convinced that this was your Eli. Now, you have colonized FFXU with your Fatal Attraction antics.

FUCK OFF

since you seem to be enjoying my little trip down memory lane, let me add that i met al jarreau in bloomingdales. we were both looking at men's ties.

oh, once when I was 22ish, i went to a stupid benefit for some incurable disease with my then BF. i remember noticing how many old bats were in attendance.
(there were some celebrity types; former governor of NY, hugh carey, was there)

anyway, while dancing with a cigarette in my hand (filthy habit) i accidentally burned a hole in the dress of the old bat dancing next to me. she noticed the smell of burning silk, spied my cigarette and accused me of defacing her gown.

i started to panic, but my then BF came to the rescue. an attorney, he actually asked her to explain what, exactly, her gown was doing in the vicinity of my cigarette.

haHA!

I thought you said Conie was an act. What's the real story? Cone Bone can't be an act and be real at the same time. Where did you come up with this story? I don't buy it. It sounds like malarky.
