The more I learn about the Air Force, the more impressed I become. Aside from their main aerospace focus, I already knew about their PJ's and Combat-Controllers, but I had no clue about this until now:

SOF attached meteorologists? Not only that, but they also recon terrain and mission related environmental parameters. Needless to say, a SOWT can be one hell of a lifesaver for any Airborne (It'd be nice to not land in trees for once, or to avoid getting dropped straight into a Biblical dust storm). They're under SOCOM, and they embed mostly with Army SF, and Rangers, but also with whoever else needs them (SEALs, Marine Recon, Tier 1 Units, etc.).

[Note: Balloons are normally launched at night, hence the black coloration].
