I Thought Eddie Fisher was Tony Curtis

"Tony Curtis, Hollywood Icon, Dies at 85"

Tony Curtis, a classically handsome movie star who earned an Oscar nomination as an escaped convict in Stanley Kramer’s 1958 movie “The Defiant Ones,†but whose public preferred him in comic roles in films like “Some Like It Hot†(1959) and “The Great Race†(1965), died Wednesday of a cardiac arrest in his Las Vegas area home. He was 85.

Now when Eddie Fischer died last week, I don't know why but I was picturing his "daughter" Jamie Lee Curtis mourning the loss, not Carrie Fischer. Why did I confuse these two?

Don't listen to me... I just have my feelings hurt because no one else gets Bill Pullman confused with Bill Paxton...

Everybody's a wise ass. Tony Curtis had his niche. I loved him in in The Defiant Ones, The Great Race, an Some Like it Hot. RIP.

His most famous line was, "Yonder lies the castle of my faddah."
