LeBron James indicated that race may have been a factor in the widespread panning/backlash of his "The Decision" special. Surely he can't be serious. How about the fact that it pretty much was just a 60 minute self indulgent ego trip? He's a basketball player, not Jesus. He plays a game for a living. I'll give him props for having all of the profits go towards charity, but that's it.
It must be nice to have the race card to play every time you make a wrong move. How about: "Yeah, we misjudged that one".

The self promotion, being called King, the hype in free agency, and the fucking talking about himself in 3rd person just may be the reason why some level headed people don't care for him. It may be a race issue. Some white people used to despise M. Ali due to his arrogance. This could be the same thing.

Anybody staging a national TV event to promote an absolute betrayal like he did deserves "100% self-centered douchebag" status. What he did to Cleveland fans was ridiculous on an unprecedented level. It makes TO seem humble.
That being said, I give him credit for donating the proceeds to charity. But that still doesn't make up for the classless, naked egotism.
I have tix to his first home game against the Wizards in December and can't wait to boo him every time he touches the ball.
