Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
In Uganda and other parts of Africa people wear all sorts of trinkets in the belief it will protect them from bullets and harm. Though to be fair many in the western world do also. Many wear the cross around their necks. Mormons wear their lucky underwear...so I suppose it isn't too absurd really.

Well, if the life jacket is thick enough it might provide protection against ricochets and weak rounds, but it's obviously not going to do a damn thing against an AK-47 fired from 50-100 yards away.
