I did not read the article but one question I have is why even study this? I assume that in identifying it, that science is hoping to somehow deter or prevent it. What's next? I have a stepbrother and a cousin who are gay.

One I think is into dudes because his emotional development is really fucked up and he never really clicked with girls as a teen. He is introverted, slobbish and generally unattractive. I think he just ran to the option that was open and easily available as a lot of gays are into a much more random sexuality than us heteros could ever hope for.

The other seemed genetically predetermined and was a little light in the loafers as far back as I remember.

Strangely, I think gayness could have been prevented in the one, but was actually some natural anomaly in the other. If the gay gene is ever isolated, a lot of women would probably abort rather than bear a fairy. But we'd still have other homosexuals.
