Weight Watchers CEO out. Meade Skelton to be spokesperson

In a leaderships shakeup, CEO Sima Sistani is leaving her role and being replace by board member and former Shake Shack excecutive Tara Comonte.
Sima had led the company into the prescription drug weight loss business. Tara preferred the more traditional diet and exercise approach.
The company has been in decline since the departure of Oprah Winfrey. Tate Comonte is reaching out to Meade Skelton to serve as spokesperson and will be the brand ambassador for the Fat Not More campaign.

Meade Skelton? The guy who lives in his daddy's attic at 45 and cleans the toilets at Chik-Fil-A? The guy who can't graduate community college?

Makes sense. Meade would never promote drugs to lose weight. He believes in a sound diet and exercise to lose weight and achieve your fitness goals.
That's why you will see Meade out in all kinds of weather running and getting the miles in.

I don't think Meade would leave the chicken place at this junction. He is looking at a possible Assistant Manager/Day or Full Manager/Nights if the place goes 24 hours. He has worked at the place in a desk job for at least 3 years and has accumulated a bit of seniority, able to take vacation during best times. The money would have to be very, very good for any deal. It would be a good choice though, with Meade's knowledge of food joints he'd bring some good new ideas. New blood thing.
