Sharks!

Do the mysterious proliferation of large man eating sharks just 70 miles away in the Potomac River have some Fairfax officials wondering if they pose a threat to citizens? Are Fairfax officials even now thinking to fly in a consultant from some where like Nantucket Mass where the large beasts are more common or should they just cancel events near the river to be on the safe side? Meanwhile salty looking characters that look like they escaped from The Deadliest Catch have been seen gathering in sports bars in the area some occasionally muttering things like things like "Wanna catch that fish? Gotta talk to me."

Bullsharks have been found in freshwater before, it's not unusual. They've been way up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers as well. Not a big deal.

No, they're not a big deal.

But we're talking about POLITICIANS here who can get votes by inducing PANIC IN THE STREETS so they can solve the problem through MORE FRICKING LEGISLATION.

Have I mentioned that August is my favorite time of year because Congress goes home and stops screwing up my life?
