The war in Iraq reminds me of the kinds of wars that occurred under monarchs in Europe. A huge waste of lives and treasure all because of some asshole's pride. In the end, it really didn't change anything but cost way too much.

The new strategy of the demokrats to combat the Republicans and konservadems is now to run around calling the former PUTUS a "chimp"? If that is the last floodwall standing they will be absolutely buried in November. Namecalling as a national political platform... love it.

In my continuing attempt to elevate the political discussion in this country I'm going to take this opportunity to say something nice about Bush.
PEPFAR is a really good program that actually did some good. It wasn't perfect or exactly how I would have liked it to be, but it got a lot of money and resources to fight AIDS in Africa and that is a good thing.
