State assistance my ass. I own and have run a very successful business for a long time. I have some great employees, black and white. But unfortunately for them, as the government makes it harder and harder to successfully run a profitable business I'm getting very close to shutting my doors. Why? Well the risk/reward relationship just isnt worth it at this point. I've got enough money to last me for a long long time. My employees? Well, not so much. But those same employees thought it would be a good idea to vote for Obama, and wanted "free" healthcare, and "tax the rich" to pay for everything else. Thats fine, but unfortunately those folks have basically voted themselves out of a job because they're not going to have one when I shut things down. And there are a lot of other business owners who feel the same way I do.

Obvisouly you don't understand the tea party and FreedomWorks. Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe have a plan, and it's an excellent one!

What percent of whites voted for Obama?

Blacks are the most racist, bigoted grouping of Americans currently in existence. Before Obama ran for office, I honestly never witnessed much racism in my life. During his campaign however, my God, the level of ignorant Blacks just came blazing out of the woodshed like bats out of hell. I didn't even think that there were racist Black folks beforehand, as I had grown up being best friends with mostly non-white individuals. Obama's campaign really opened up my eyes, though. I think it's a shame too.

The Tea Party crowd is a mixture. Few minorities, as the minority population has been traditionally not conservative. Most are older or middle aged. Some are gun nuts, some don't like the tax bite they are feeling. Some of course, at least latently, don't like having a black president. All individuals with independent perogatives, kind of like most Americans.
I've talked to some of these folks in the city last year when there was a rally, a lot of boring and repetive dribble with a casual grasp on the issues, not at all unlike the people I've spoken to around anti-war and IMF rallies.

I think the Left is overblowing the extreme elements of the Tea crowd, creating a scapegoat and a boogieman profile to try to motivate the electorate. Truth is there will never be Tea Party candidates in elections outside of a few rural states, it's all hype. And all the bullshit about Christian extremism is the same canard. Bush was supposed to be such a hardline evangelical, besides stem cell, there really was no difference under him or Obama.

Nothing to see here. Move along and get back to work already.
