Some folks here have made the argument that Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump were still President. Others say Putin fundamentally fucked up when he did not go during the Trump years.
As Ukraine's summer offensive is getting rolling, this should be a good time to reflect on these questions. Should Putin have started his "three day" special military operation during the Trump years, or was he wise in waiting until Trump had been defeated? How would things have gone differently if he had done his invasion when Trump occupied the White House?
Obviously, as Ukraine's offensive progresses, we will have ample time to consider these questions carefully.

or, Americans, Republicans, Liberals and everything in between and outside, could unite together and say "no more" to the guy playing joe biden and his team and not do bullsh!t hypotheticals which allows one to bypass simple mathematics like Putin waited until the guy playing joe biden was installed to invade Ukraine

Trump’s already stated that he thought Putin’s invasion was a smart move and said he thinks we’re providing too many weapons to Ukraine. That and his persistent criticism of NATO pretty much sums up why Putin waited for Trump’s second term and how things would be going right now if he didn’t lose the election.

-Fails to take Kharkiv
-Causes NATO to enlarge (Finland already, Sweden very soon and, eventually, Ukraine.
-Allows Joe Biden to heal the rift with NATO allies caused by Trump and create a level of unity in NATO unseen since the Cold War.
-Cuts the Russian economy off from cool stuff (like computer chips, oil pipeline technology and spare parts for airplanes)
-Flees Kherson, contributing greatly to Ukrainian armaments.
-Gets tens of thousands of Russian soldiers killed to take Bakhmut, a meaningless town which does not really lead to anywhere important. Even better, the only reason the Ukrainians won't take it back from him this summer will be that they going after bigger game and don't give that much of a shit
-Demonstrates Russian military hardware is a joke, destroying any hopes of getting hard currency selling arms for at least a generation.

The Russians blew up a dam last night, and drowned a bunch of their own troops. You'll see it on the news soon.
