Proud Boys Plan to Subpoena Trump to Sedition Trial

Members of the Proud Boys are reportedly telling former President Donald Trump to stand back and stand by for a subpoena.

According to New York Times reported Alan Feuer, members of the Proud Boys who have been accused by the government of engaging in a seditious conspiracy are saying they "intend to subpoena Donald Trump as a witness at the trial."

Although it's not clear why members of the gang would want Trump to testify on their behalf, many other January 6th defendants have argued that broke into the Capitol and violently clashed with police officers because it was what the former president wanted them to do.

Feuer, however, expresses skepticism that the defendants will really be able to compel Trump's testimony.

The Parler posts from defendant Proud Boys are now coming out, setting the stage for jurors to see how members of the extremist group communicated about the 2020 election. The messages go toward their state of mind and intent, per Judge Kelly.

After the election in November 2020, defendant Ethan Nordean called for the formation of his own political party, “Rebels of America” and cited the widespread “fraud” he insisted was the handiwork of Democrats and “commies.”

On Parler, someone told Nordean they would join his new party “as long as all of the politicians we have currently are lynched on your inauguration day and all bureaucrats summarily shot on sight.”

Nordean replied: “Deal.”

Proud Boy Zachary Rehl parroted former President Donald Trump’s tweets on Parler and so too did Tarrio.

“It isn’t over yet, “ Tarrio wrote after the election. “Just read the president’s legal argument. Keep the faith.”

NO WAY IN HELL TRUMP WOULD ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE AT A PROUD BOYS TRIAL. It doesn't benefit Trump in any way. The Proud Boys are going to jail, everybody know that, so why should Trump go to jail with them?
