Wear wristwatch? Use e-mail? Not for Class of '14

Interesting little story about how tecnology has changed and what the new generation has experienced. Probably a good thing. Apparently kids aren't taught to write cursive anymore, maybe they learn typing instead, which is probably a good thing.

I think the headlline was supposed to read "snail mail"

I haven't worn a watch for years, no point ever since mobile phones pulled time/date from networks.

email was supposed to be in the title because they presume that the new generation uses IM and social networking for communication.

email wont die because it's a simple way of sending mass messages as well as sending information to people who arent at their computer. there is also a "on the record" accountability that email provides that businesses like. email is here to stay. snailmail is also here to stay because of bills. i'm sure plenty of irresponsible people will be getting foreclosure notices via snail mail.

dont worry, the next generation will be like "facebook? what's that?" and the latest generation will be appalled.

i also dont wear a watch because i to take it off every time i need to use a keyboard. these hands/wrists are my meal ticket, so i'm not about to jeopardize them. i've seen people who have wear those wrist supports because they killed their wrists and it's kinda sad.

Yeah, there's no point in wearing a watch when you have your cell phone telling you the time.

This article does make me feel way old though. Even when I was in high school, cell phones were mainly used by business people in their cars.

Blessed are the murderous.

For example, as item No. 13 on the list says, "Parents and teachers feared that Beavis and Butt-head might be the voice of a lost generation."

With far edgier content available today, such as "South Park" or online videos that push the envelope, there's something quaint about recalling the hand-wringing that the MTV cartoon prompted, Nief said.

LOL I remember when Beavis and Butthead and Ren and Stimpy were the edgiest shows on TV. Now Youtube has worse stuff on it for everyone to see.

Southpark will be the next show to be forgotten by the next generation.

Blessed are the murderous.

I learned cursive and never use it (except for my signature). I'm not sure if I could even write it now.
