Meade Deniers
Posted by: Terry McAwful ()

They call people who question the 2020 election results, election deniers. The people who question the considerable talents of Meade Skelton should be called Meade Deniers. They just won't look at the facts. It is readily apparent to most people, that Meade Skelton is a talented singer, songwriter, performer, producer. The only problem Meade has is a marketing problem. not a quality problem.

If Meade was "right-sized" about his gifts he could have been a local talent. He could have gotten gigs at weddings and car wash openings. He could actually be a working musician, Instead, he thought he should be considered only among the superstars. A person needs talent and LUCJ for that. It is not unlike all those pretty high school homecoming queens who race to Hollywood to become starlets and end up in Chattsworth doing porn.

Meade has very little experience performing n front of a live audiemc considering how long he has been at it and his body has become quite misshapen.

Would you want this to be opening up your laundromat?

Meade is jealous of Mortimer. Mortimer's reputation on The Apricity is far better than Meade's. Though they seem to be two peas in a pod, a rather large stinky pod,
Mortimer is likable and Meade doesn't seem to have a clue how unpleasant he comes across to others.

Meade also incessantly whines things like
"Why won't anybody tell me I'm handsome and talented?..."

If you could invite only one to a party, you would pick Mortimer over Meade almost every time...

Mortimer's videos are more entertaining as well...and they only last a few seconds...

What the people who know about music think of Meade.

There are a few stand-out elements of Meade’s album. First is his superb piano playing. He plays with passion. He also plays to fill the sound out (there isn’t much guitar on the album, save for a really great lap steel guitar here and there), but he never does too much. The jangly upright piano style is perfectly suited for his little bit country/little bit rock’n'roll music. Probably the best element of this album is Meade’s singing voice. It’s strong in the right places, but he never screams. It’s got a clear sound with just the right amount of melancholy. He uses that down-south vibrato at times, but thankfully he never over-does it. The only element I’m not too fond of on the album is the drumming, as it’s off-tempo at many times, which detracts from the listening experience. If a more country sound is what Meade was going for on this album, then a bona fide country drummer would’ve been better than conforming a rock drummer to that alternate style. Though, I would love to hear these songs played with a rock drum beat, just for the heck of it.

The overall style of sound on “Meade Music” reminds me of the Byrds when they went into their country phase. It’s a sophisticated sound that sounds like country at first, but really has many elements of a rock’n'roll background. But, the best part of Meade’s songwriting actually harks to a different style of songwriter: Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. You see, upon first listen, many Beach Boys classic songs can be written off as “happy fluff”. But, Brian Wilson always had a great knack of integrating a sadder undertone to his music. It showed that his music came from the heart and a place of innocence. Meade may be singing about memories of the bus he used to take in “Old Bus 48?, but the minor chord changes Meade throws in throughout the album give the listener a feeling of a somber remembrance- it’s the feeling that, while Meade looks back with fondness, he also misses those good ol’ days. I think that’s what gives “Meade Music” some great staying power. And, the fact that he uses his reflection on the past so well made me relate to the songs I thought were way out of my comfort-zone, like I mentioned earlier.

My favorite track on the album is “Before You Go”, a late-album gem. The general sound reminds me of The Turtles’ classic “Eleanore”. The subject matter is a little more serious than on the rest of the album, that is, “Before You Go” is more upfront about it. This is the song I would play for any prospective listener first.

Meade refuses to hire representation. He is not about to fork over 10% of his earnings to William Morris Agency or Creative Artist, two high profile Talent Agents. They've been after him for years to sign, but he won't budge. One of those country boys who doesn't trust Madison Ave or Los Angeles lawyers.

Meade is shrewd, he is going to cut off any association with Mort, right now Mort is bragging about his association with Meade, trying to milk it for all its' worth. Meade is about to let Mort do to him what Frank James did. Once burnt he learned.

I heartily agree with OP and the guy who wrote the lengthy review praising Meade’s music. The simple fact is that the vast majority of people love Meade’s music. There are one or two loudmouths here on FFXU who post under different names negative things about him. They either have no appreciation for good music or are motivated by their jealousy of his vastly superior talent. I speak for many, many people when I say we look forward to Meade’s continuing parade of smash hits!

Have you seen Mort's videos? They have surpassed Meade's in almost every way. The one area Mort may have trouble with is in the Lolcow department. Laughing at retards is lots of fun, but Mort seems to have a good heart. Laughing at mean-spirited Meade just makes everyone feel good. You really have to be an awful human being to truly become a lolcow. Chris Chan was a horrible person long before he became a motherfucker.

Meade is better at what things? Throwing tantrums when people don't agree with him that he is handsome and talented?

Meade comes off needy and self-absorbed on that forum. Most of the threads he starts are about his looks.

Here is one of dozens...Seriously, who thinks this way let alone starts a thread about it?

https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?364664-My-face-is-firmly-symmetrical-yet-no-one-thinks-I-m-handsome

My face is firmly symmetrical, yet no one thinks I'm handsome...
I'm not vain or narcissist, but I am objectively looking at my face and angles. Everyone has asymmetry. But I notice with my features, there is an evenness and part of being attractive is facial harmony.
No one legitimately (at least on TA) finds me attractive. Other users have much less harmonious faces than mine, yet they are deemed as "handsome". Meanwhile, I have an unusual facial harmony."

Meade includes a picture of himself where his chubby cheeks obscure his ears making him look goofy guppy.

Meade occasionally stops in the Chick Fil A he owns and greets customers by handling them complimentary food and beverages. It brings happiness to Meade to see his customers look of joy when they see a music legend handing them French fries. Meade will do anything for his fans. And he is very wise to invest some of his music royalties in other businesses

He used to work at the Short Pump location when he was in the mascot suit.

It's very telling that he is only allowed to be the mascot or food runner. He's too retarded to be a cashier.

Meade played Madison square Garden just as surely as he played Times Square on New Years Eve.
