when i was a kid there were COMPILERS for sale that were better than MS's - and Intel had sold non-gcc compilers also
TODAY: MS compilers still have not improved but the competition HAS VANISHED, not even for sale. ASM? still crap on MS, despite they do most of their core work there (meaning - the kind of work THAT PAYS and keeps them IN POWER).
