I’m not opposed to DeSantis. He’s a real Republican and has governing experience. I’m concerned however that some of the more militant members of the GOP will try to undermine him though if he doesn’t toe the Trump era party line. I want collaboration and I want bipartisanship.

Moderates are the voice of reason and who ultimately make the decisions in any country. You need balance. Trump was only able to become president because of the vacuum created by moderates in both parties who were too weak and ineffectual to create coherent presidential campaigns. People like Trump and AOC as an example on the left are radicals and can never be allowed at the levers of power in this country.

A moderate position would be to have mask wearing be optional. For decades, medical staff wore masks around sick people and everything was fine. You never had a doc tell a PATIENT to put on a mask if they thought they might have the flu - because the doc had a mask that worked against the flu.

Where are all the "moderates" today with this voice of reason over the masks? Lots of other states are doing sensible moderate things by letting the scared uninformed have their little teddy bear masks, while allowing real Americans that understand science to choose for themselves.
