I must say that I personally don't envy anyone who can manage to royally fuck up their own already shitty life even more than it already was by getting arrested dozens of times, sued, ending up bankrupted with criminal convictions and living in court and jail for years on end.

No, he did not bring all of them on himself. But even if you do believe that, with everything he went through, the eesh stalking, harassment, attempted murder, the Lizzie humiliation both mental and physical, the lawsuit, his dad dying, just his shitty life in general, yes. You have to give him credit for still being here. People who have had it way better than him and never went through anything remotely close to that have killed themselves.
As far as turning his life around, I'd have to say yes. This website was his whole life. He went and did an art show, isn't online harassment people, stalking people, seeking attention. He isn't in and out of jail or court, no protective order, etc.
