WASHINGTON - Even when talking about chicken wings and pizza, WTOP is all for healthy competition when it comes to "Best Of."
But blatant voter rigging, as was the case with the "Best Local Blog" competition, has led to a Web site being disqualified. (Yes, this happened a few weeks ago with "Best Chicken Wings")
So, we have decided to wipe the slate clean and start the unscientific poll over again with a Top 9. Voting is open until 12:01 a.m. Friday.
A winner will be named Friday.
We love that your fanatical about your favorite burger joint, ice cream shop and blog -- but let's keep the competition as fair and honest as possible.
Oh well....

This is really a shame. This was an opportunity for all undergrounders to unite in a common cause. Think about it, we could have had fisters and nonfisters, Democrats and Republicans, racists and race baiters, tinters and non-tinters, those with multiple personalities and those without multiple personalities, gheys and gays, etc. etc. etc. all united for a noble mission. Instead, we let out petty differences stand in our way of success. Let this be a lesson to all of us.

The only thing I will say in my defense is, I saw the post of my pseudonym over there before I read the entire WTOP thread here. I only looked at the first couple of posts here, and then clicked over to WTOP and saw the post someone graciously did in my name.
