I wonder why New Hampshire is in the bottom states, yet the rest of New England is in the top approving states.

NH has always been a little more independnet than the rest of New England. Some people say it's a bellweather state.I was up there once, a lot of northern rednecks, very different from Boston area or CT.

What should and no doubt is troubling for Obama's supporters and Dem. Candidates running in the midterm is the free fall in support in practically every blue state that was instrumental in getting Obama elected. If there is some super stealth strategy here I'll be damned if I can figure it out.

Even on the economy there is a few things he could still do, although it may be too late, that would help shift the political landscape in the Dem Party more towards the center and on a little higher ground.

Making enemies out of folks that earn more than 250K annual will not accomplish that goal. A lot of those folks supported him ( even on "Wall Street")for his presidential run and appear to be turning in droves on him now. At this point I don't think extending the Bush tax cuts would do him a lot of good this fall but it could salvage the senate.Even that is looking more remote every day. It is starting to look like a Kamikaze mission by the more liberal wing of the Dem Party. The lame duck congress flying with only its left wing this fall will be a spectacle to behold.
