Do demons keep Meade Skelton from holding down a full time job?
Posted by: Constantine ()

Demons appear to be quite the impediment in Meade’s life. He alleges they keep him from sleeping, passing community college math and becoming a successful musician among others. This is a problem that really needs to be handled if Meade wants to get anywhere in life.

Meade has anxiety attacks because he is in his forties and has done squat to provide himself a future. If he wants to think they are Demons, that is his red wagon. However, blaming and excuses are not going to cover him when the time comes and he needs to find a to sustain himself without his father's contributions.

Meade is nervous because he wants to continue to please his multitude of fans with great music for them to enjoy. But he himself has set the bar so high with hits like Sweet Tea and My Loudoun County Home that even he fears he can’t reach those lofty heights again. Don’t worry Meade, you can do it!

"Demons of Sloth", you are on the right track.
It may very well be Demons are tormenting Meade. That is because Meade's constant sinning invites them up from Hell. He needs to repent and become spiritually fit or the Lake of Fire will be his Final Destination.

That’s actually a pretty funny and great excuse not to do something. My wife is trying to get me to go with her to visit her sister and husband in Bethesda this weekend and I don’t care for either of them. I’ll tell her demons are keeping me from going with her.

Meade’s siblings won’t give two shits about whatever “demons” are doing to Meade when the elder Skelton passes and Meade needs a place to live.

Meade has already had a successful career and many hits. Willie Nelson didn't have his first hit until he was 40. Chris Stapleton didn't have his first album until he was 37. Meade still has another 40 years left in his music career.

Both those guys moved to Nashville young and established themselves as songwriters when they were in their twenties. Meade sitting alone in Richmond spamming himself anonymously has resulted in him being an internet Lolcow!

Where will Meade move to when his father can’t put him up anymore? He won’t be able to afford anything in the Fan. I’m guessing we’ll be seeing Meade in Southside Richmond. Somewhere near Hull Street and East Belt Boulevard with all the crazy negroes.

Willie nelson didnt have his first hit until he was 40??? Where do you come up with this shit? Willie nelson wrote "crazy" for patsy Cline before he was even 30, the song was recorded in 1961. Meade you are the single dumbest person on this fucking site and that's really saying something considering your competition. You are in your 40s and havent got a single hit credited to you in any fashion. You have to sit around and pretend "sweet tea" and "hipsters ruin everything" can be considered hits. News flash. They arent. Show me 1 song you've ever released that charted, at all.

If meade had any ability to make it he wouldn't waste his time trying to convince trolls on an anonymous forum. Because he'd be too busy, actually being a successful musician... as opposed to lying about it.

Keep it up meade. God is watching. Cleanse yourself. Atone for your transgressions and admit what a failure you've been. You seem to be more open about it on theapricity, why do you continously lie about it here on ffxu?

Well, let me tell you. I followed my heart. I pursued a vain objective of having Stardom in the music industry. I wasted my 20s and 30s on self serving purpose. It lead to a lot of disappointment, missed opportunities, and elusive dreams and schemes that would never come true. I should have pursued my creativity but also with a realistic goal in mind instead of something as fleeting as fame and fortune. I discovered later it' s something I never even really wanted in the first place. But I "followed my heart". Now a lonely 42 year old virgin, unmarried, and very few job prospects other than sacking groceries and cleaning toilets.

Meade doesn't have the traditional Nashville sound so that is why he didn't receive a CMA award this year. He's not outlaw country or bro country but has developed his own style of coffee shop country. 2022 will be the break out year for Meade and the year he will finally receive the recognition he deserves.

His similarity to Wille
Nelson’s own recordings fell on deaf ears during this period. He did not fit the traditional Nashville country music mold, and whenever producers tried to make him fit they only succeeded in stripping away the qualities that helped make him unique, such as his unusual manner of phrasing.

Released in 1973, Shotgun Willie is considered by many to be one of his best albums, showcasing his abilities as a singer, storyteller and performer, despite the fact that it did not chart well. The same would be true of 1974’s Phases and Stages.

Rise of the 'Red-Headed Stranger'
However, with 1975’s Red-Headed Stranger, Nelson had his real first taste of success. Not only did the album reach No. 1 on the country charts, but it also crossed over to the pop Top 40. Among the highlights from the recording is the Fred Rose–penned number “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain,” which gave Nelson his first No. 1 country hit and earned him his first Grammy Award for best country vocal performance.

Why are you still comparing yourself to Willie Nelson? You're half the man he is and 3 times the mass. You want to be like Willie? Smoke a fucking joint or 2. I don't know if it will make you any better of a musician but it would have to make your personality at least slightly more tolerable. Maybe even open your eyes to how much your music sucks, even if you can't manage to improve on it still. If you must try and compare yourself to superstars at least go with somebody that you have something in common with. Like David allen coe for example. Don't get me wrong, that mean is still infinitely more talented of a songwriter than you, but he does have the loud mouthed racist thing going on so there's that. Plus unlike you, he was able to be successful even in spite of that, so maybe you could learn from studying him. Truth is it wouldn't help, you'll never accept the key difference is the massive disparity in talent. You ain't got it bud. Give up. You should have hung that dream up decades ago.

Willie Nelson had his first taste of success with the song "Crazy" in 1961.
When a person writes one of the biggest hits for one of the biggest stars, they ha pretty much have a calling card in Nashville. One other thing Nelson had in his twenties was a major label releasing his albums. "Flops" or not, that is much farther than Meade has gotten in his forties.

Meade should go a seminary and learn how to rebuke demons.
