GUI Interface. How redundant.
I'm no computer techie-type person. Can someone explain why she would need to use Visual Basic to create a graphical user interface interface to track an IP address?

Maybe because all she knows is what she was taught in a one-week Microsoft class? (Or was that a rhetorical question?)
A GUI looks impressive on the TV screen but most sysadmins would probably be using a Linux box and driving it via the command line. It's not as pretty but it gets results quicker.

Thanks. Her solution seemed to be overkill to me.
