Currently have the Amex Blue Cash and Visa credit card from Treasury Federal Credit Union. Thinking of upgrading to Amex Green or Gold, but trying to figure out how I'd need to use them in order to maximize the points and offset annual feels.

Michael, you wish! You're poor and bankrupted and your credit score is 478. You don't even have fingerhut anymore because you couldn't afford the $25 a month payment.
I have 27 cards. All are only used on a very specific class of items and are only used in certain situations. Too many to name individually but my top five are the chase sapphire preferred, Amex Platinum, Amex Gold, Amex plum for business and navy federal Amex more rewards card. I do a ton of traveling & I use the platinum and gold to pay for airline tickets, transit and it also gets me into the centurion lounge which that in and of itself is worth $500 just to entry. Chase sapphire is good if I’m taking a client out to dinner and it gets you some perks if you use it to book hotels in certain cities. Plum business I use for miscellaneous business expenses and the navy federal card gets me points on pretty much everything, but it’s strictly my “emergency” card.

That credit score is wrong. Credit karma and those other fake clickbait sites are scams. They say people's scores are 200 points about what they really are.
