Richard T. Crosby, Jr., appeared virtually before U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Dave Vatti in Bridgeport Thursday afternoon. He was arrested by federal agents around 6:30 a.m. at his home in Harwinton.

During a virtual court proceeding, where the charges against Crosby brought by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia were made public, he could be seen in the Zoom video sitting in a New Haven court holding area wearing a green crew neck sweatshirt and light-colored sweatpants, and combing through a sheaf of papers before the hearing began.

Crosby is with charged with entering and remaining on the floor of Congress, obstruction of justice/Congress, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in the Capitol, and parading, demonstrating or picketing at the Capitol.

Crosby and his girlfriend and her mother, who are not named in the criminal complaint, first went to the Ellipse to attend the pro-Trump rally. He stayed for the entire rally while his girlfriend and her mother left and he was among the "masses" who marched down Pennsylvania Avenue towards the Capitol.

In the New Yorker below video, at the 7:55 minute mark, Crosby can be seen standing next to Jacob Chansley, AKA the "QAnon Shaman." Crosby is seen wearing a black jacket and glasses; he also wore glasses during the virtual court hearing.
