Any docs treat tinnitus?

Had mild tinnitus for many years. Tinnitus volume increased significantly after falling asleep with headphones recently. Saw an ENT who said my hearing test was excellent and said come back in a year if the tinnitus doesn’t improve.

With all the aging metal heads on this site figured I’d ask. Anyone have a better experience? Options?

I only notice mine when in complete silence. I had an ear infection in high school for a couple weeks that gave me pretty loud tinnitus, it wasn't fun. From what I've read, using white noise in the same frequency range to drown it out can be pretty helpful. I think they even make something like a hearing aid, but that emits white noise to drown out the ringing.

Nothing works for tinnitus. No matter what some doctors say all the time.
All you can do now - monitor your hearing constantly and see a doctor as soon as you see some changes.
The good things here is that hearing test online is quite easy and pretty accurate, so you don't have to go anywhere for that.
