OMG Meade should stick to covers!

Meade's lame material drives people away, but with the right kind of song, and his vocal style, he makes it work .


Listen to this song for example - "Rusty Barbed Wire Dream", naturally written by someone else, sounds so much better than anything he has written himself. It's not that he can't sing, it's that his original songs are crap. He needs to get the best songwriters together, and he can definitely do something!

This is an older recording when a much younger Meade could actually kind of carry a tune. Since then his voice has deteriorated where he is breathless after only a few songs. Maybe he could have done it back then, but his ship has sailed.

I have always said Meade should leave the songwriting to others.

And if Meade wants more people to watch, he needs to record someone else singing them too.

He has one of them Woody Nelson raspy type of voice Northern women find so, "estatic" , that's the word they use.
