Meade Skelton is a really cool Americana Singer Songwriter, and I found out he's from Virginia!
Well anyways, I was wondering if anyone has heard of him? Hes a great singer and plays piano. He wrote a song for Nicole Kidman called "Nicole, Will You Marry Me?"

Yes, I have heard of Meade Skelton. I saw him playing at some coffeeshop in Charlottesville. To a very indifferent crowd- but I was rightly impressed. Meade is a good showman. He's also very good looking. He'll go far.

You should check him out. Hes Indie of course. But he does like Americana-Alt Country and some bit of Pop music. Kind of like Leon Redbone meets Johnny Cash. I think he has an outstanding voice!

I totally disagree! I can't stand Billy Joel. I think Meade Skelton has a unique vibe to him and I think his songs are pretty neat. Just because they're not your taste doesn't mean he isnt talented.
And c'mon- bands are a dime a dozen. Every local band I've seen is 4 (or 3) guys with electric guitars, bass and drums. And songs that sound like top 40 radio only worse.

Well, he's not very mainstream, but I dig it. And I'm mainly into Modern Rock and Punk Music ( like some Alt Country on the side). I guess everyone has their own opinion. He does a lot of different kind of music. Its too bad Nicole Kidman won't marry him.

Even with is weight gain, Meade is still a good looking man. I have seen his videos and he's not obese. I've seen people way heavier than Meade.

I respect this man. He has and continues to do a lot of good for the community. He has put Richmond on the map as an out spoken critic of Kroger's Supermarket and his family orientated musical appearances. He is a good Christian and all around nice guy who has not become all "big headed" over his success like most big stars do but has maintain a Southern charm.

Gravis was an IT guy with a decent job back in those days. He probably makes at least six figures now, owns a home and maybe has a significant other. Though he was quite fucking ugly so the last part may not of happened yet. As you can tell above he wasn't completely autistic and had some self awareness unlike Meade.

By the age of three , he was playing the piano by ear and singing along to pop tunes he heard on the radio. his first true public performance was at age ten, when he won first place for an orginal piano composition in the classical vein, called "Victory." I first found Meade Skelton from FFX. The three best things I found during working from home with Covid restrictions were Mazzy Star, Daniel Johnston, and Meade Skelton. All unique musical talents with instantly recognizable voices. Maybe not universally known but all have strong fan bases. Meade is the lesser know of the 3 but still has years of creativity left.

Who would have guessed that from his humble beginnings here on FFXU, Meade Skelton’s career would have skyrocketed to becoming an international music superstar who has played at world famous venues like Graceland, has hobnobbed with music industry royalty like Lisa Marie and Jagger, and has created his own musical genre. To say nothing of his other accomplishments- such as actor, philosopher, physical fitness guru , entrepreneur and restaurant owner, and author. It just goes to show that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Congratulations Meade !

Many people here said, when Meade first started out professionally, that the whole Meade thing was just a fad and like most fads would eventually fade away. Let this be a lesson to those people, Meade is still here, still a draw, and still the most popular person on this worthy site.
