my 32 bit software was more "rock solid", configure system properly: never broken never a problem extremely rare reboots (linux only), and windows 10 - lots of hardware drivers for 32.

today's apps all break continually (meaning: same brand apps but made 64 bit by big tech) and are continually hacked by "auto updating", big tech employees really "get the right to steal off any desktop, install malware to force upgrade, do anything they want globally". it's absolutely mind numbing WITH ALL THAT POWER that you get software that's 100% WORSE.

what's NOT buggy? top brand name games (ie, gtav). but they aren't win10 or linux.

however: gaming never relied on being 32 or 64 that's "not how gaming works"

INTEL NEVER WAS "JUST 32". interally things are done far differently than most could even imagine. devices have been between 2 bit to 100 bit (100 bit busses in 1980's PCs before DOS actually)

INTEL and video cards had "64 bit" before "OSes when full retard 64 ONLY" - people just didn't realize or care because chinese hadn't attacked their systems with "64 only" yet.

INTEL 32 means "program binary default instruction width is 32 bit unless the binary selects a different pnemonic code for the same instruction". that's it period. anyone can prove that's 100% true.

CAD SOFTWARE CANNOT USE 32BIT OR 64BIT, they both "stink for certified math", math libaries use "arbitrary bit" math and are little effected by "32 or 64"

I was using an 8 bit printer on a 16 bit Intel cpu.

When Win95 came around I has a 32 bit cpu. Win95 only supported "image printing" because it favored CHINESE PRINTERS which had no 8 bit support or language support (no IBM character set, no Postscript capability either, and didn't work in linux). But the printer DRIVER still worked (just poorly in Win95 but perfectly in Linux).
The printer DRIVER for DOS and Win 3.1 word perfectly for the 8 bit printer.

The 1980's 8 bit printer is "bullet proof", it STILL WORKS I still use it: but Microsoft Windows 10 the support WAS REMOVED - it's not that it isn't supported it's that the support was intently removed despite that it still worked.

64 bit is a CHINESE BIG TECH LIE. And so are HP Printers (meaning the corporation that outsourced it's business to 64 china).

Devices and drivers always still work if the CPU upgrades it's bit width. It's the OS that can "target them and force you to upgrade" with malware that is THE DIFFERENCE HERE.

Why won't Windows 10 install serial port?

I get a Com Port Error 10 shown in Device Manager. I have tried updating the driver (best already installed) and run MS Fix It which detects the problem but always returns an error whenever I try to send the data when filling in the hieroglyphics.

I checked the COM port and both the Arduino and the laptop expect the Arduino to be on COM3. The Windows device manager shows that COM3 is operating at 115200 which is what the Arduino wants. The program compiles ok and appears to load okay (based on flashing lights on the Arduino). Nothing happens

i'm finding many hits saying "COM1 still works", but others who are having problems. haven't tried it myself yet. (but i know my printer driver using it was killed also my modem driver and even 20017 USB modem drivers: all killed)

I go back into Devices and Printers – Right click on the Serial Printer and select Printer Properties – I choose “Print Test Page” It prints out a Windows Self-Test: OK.

It will continue to print the Windows Self-Test until the PC is Rebooted
