I would like to introduce myself: I'm Meade Skelton Haufe, a Singer/Songwriter in the Alt Country Gospel vein from Richmond, Virginia. My musical journey has had it's ups and downs over the many years I have been performing, and I would like to share that journey with you! I am so glad you found me. Meade doesn't have to wait until his dad dies before he starts busking. Since he will undoubtedly be so successful at it, he should start now, so he can have first and last rent for an apartment when daddy's reverse mortgage comes due.

Meade is 5'11" and 300lbs. I suppose he might not be technically 'morbidly obese'since BNI measurements require more than just height and weight.

However, he closer to being 'morbidly obese' than he is to being a healthy weight.

I don't think his audience is very big either.

It's tradition around these parts. Goes back many years. Meade has always been apart of these festivals, people expect it. Even the little kids say "can we see Meade perform at the Apple Festival or Corn Festival or Watermellon Festival", they grew up with this. Apparently you are new to this region. Another used to be First Night Celebration but Meade stopped doing that a while back, kinda late and he gets sleepy.

We would go to the pancake house when he was performing, and the kids would order chocolate chip pancakes so they could flick the chocolate chips at meade while he was playing. The goal was to see if anyone could actually launch a chip into meade's open mouth while he was singing.

My daughter was the champ at this - she is now on the varsity softball team at her high school. I like to think meade gave her her start in sports as I sure as hell am no athlete.

Why people, especially the young uns like Meade so much is he doesn't get all hot and bothered when they ask for an autograph. Some celebrities just walk on and dpn't bother. Sad cause if not for a fan base, these celebrities would be just ordinary people. Who knows, maybe in a few years these autographs will be worth a few bucks.
