so what. California has bad air pollution problems because of its geography, and Newsom wants to fix it. In 15 years EVs will be as cheap as regular cars. You don't like it, don't move to California. Personally, I think the state is beautiful, if it weren't on fire because of climate change. You think it's a cesspool because you watch Fox News.

as usual, you are completly wrong. California doesn't have air pollution
problems. Los Angles HAD air pollution problems 30 years ago because of car
emmisions and LA sits in a horseshoe which trapped that air in. Full computer
controlled fuel injection cars fixed that, in the late 1980s. It is virtually
impossible to commit suicide by car in a garage with a car built after 1990.
That's how clean they burn.

The governors of California, Washington and Oregon have admitted poor forest
management has caused the "record" forest fires. Record is in quotes because
what has burned this season is less than half of what used to burn prior to 1900
when we began controlling wild fires. It's got nothing to do with AGW.

California currently has rolling blackouts because they actually cut their
electricity production recently. How do you intend to charge 10,000,000 new
electric cars in 10 years when you refuse to use gas/oil/coal/nuclear to increase
your generation capability? You do know how batteries work? How are you going
to build more solar and wind generation without the use of oil?

the ONLY reason EVs are remotely competitive with gas powered cars is
government subsidies

From 40 miles above the Golden Gate down to Mexico in the Commiefornia south , there are about 7 million good people left that are still there trapped
