With Trump back to 52% in Rasmussen and now ahead in at least 3 national polls for the first time since Biden secured the nomination in March, is there any hope for us? I don't see it.

Rasmussen is always about 4 points off, skewed for Republicans. More people voted in the Democratic primary than the Republican primary, and with a heavy field upfront, Biden's numbers, used for Stony Brook, were low, compared to 2016 primary results.

He sponsored legislation and voted for bills that fucked over the US workers and middle class to pay back the big banks who funded his campaigns or hired his relatives. Landslide is generally defined as getting at least 55% of the popular vote. In races with more than two viable candidates it is getting at least 10% more of the popular vote than the next closest opponent. Trump breaking 55% would be about a 9 point increase from 2016.

That Donald Trump could win is a serious possibility. A repeat of 2016 is a distinct possibility. While the focus so far has been on whether Florida, North Carolina and Arizona may flip, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Minnesota are close enough so that Democrats should be nervous. However even if Trump wins all the states he won in 2016 and also picks up Nevada and New Hampshire, that alone would hardly be considered a landslide.

So by what other standards could a Donald Trump win be considered a landslide? Retaking the House perhaps? Or increasing Republicans in the Senate to 60?

45 days is a long time.

If Biden shows up for the debate and stumbles along, this could tilt even more for Trump. Remember the polling numbers even into the last day in 2016. It was over 90% chance Hillary would win per the EXIT POLLS. Despite voting for Trump, lots of us sat on our couches shocked that he actually won. We were sitting there watching CNN and he's up 300,000 votes in FL and the libtards kept saying "oh well they haven't counted Miami" - and then suddenly Miami is 95% reporting and he's still up 200,000 votes. And then Van Jones cried on live TV and told everyone about the "whitelash". I still fap to that.

The internals and underlying dynamics suggest that the actual numbers are far more lopsided at this point.
