Over 52% of young adults are living with parents

Pew defines young adults as 18- to 29-year-olds. The number of young adults living with parents grew to 26.6 million in July, an increase of 2.6 million from February, Pew said.

It’s based, redpilled and moral, especially for men to live with their families (while contributing financially to the household) until they are married. It’s cycled, blue pilled and unchristian like to live in some apartment/house with strangers.

“Get a job” is not always or even mostly a solution to this problem. It’s not about degrees either. I know plenty C.S. and finance grads that are in this situation.

Yes, it is if you have some drive. You are a loser like Gerry making excuses for your lack of skills, education and motivation.

There are thousands of people out there qualified to do any job who cannot find one or at least not one that pays a living wage. The whole “pull yourself by the bootstraps and work hard” mantra is tone deaf and retarded.

That doesn’t hold water either. Tons of people especially in STEM that can’t get jobs. I’ve got a bachelors and a masters in chemical engineering and had a job paying $90k but got laid off. Can’t find anything but sales jobs. Recruiters are hacks.

Why should someone pursue a degree they aren’t interested in? We can’t expect everyone to be a software developer or an accountant.

Unless you are a very young adult, and just starting out, if you can't find a living wage job in NOVA it's either because you are lazy or stupid. And remember you can't start at the top. Everyone I know who has pulled themselves up by their boot straps and worked really hard has ended the up with a decent paying job with good benefits. And yes 90% of the time they had to work their way up to the better paying job and yes sometimes it takes several years. Only libtard Democrats believe they are entitled to a good paying job which they are not qualified for or capable of doing correctly.

“People you know” were able to do that 15-20 years ago before outsourcing and before boomers decided they wanted to keep riding the good paying gig gravy train into their 70s. You cannot really start at the bottom and make it to the top anymore. You’ve got to job hop, reskill and possibly move to climb up the latter, which isn’t doable for a lot of people for different reasons. The corporations are solely to blame for this as they are more concerned with bringing in returns to their investors than the one’s doing the actual work. Though I know businesses exist to bring in profit, their undoing of the American worker will come back to haunt them in the end. It already is. Boeing is regretting outsourcing their software dev ops to India.

I agree with you on the one hand. We have a significant bias in favor of boomers in the workplace. Sometimes guys and girls go outside the college gates and really don't understand where they can successfully apply their knowledge. And you don’t need to tell me about the need to start working from the bottom rung of the career ladder. This is not the point. You could have done it 20 years ago and have your home before 30. Few can do it now.

But we have the opportunity to occupy our niche in the form of remote work. I would prefer this option. There are good options for quiet remote operation. For example, here - https://tcommas.com/call-center-outsourcing/ It's more productive than trying to find a job the usual way, knowing that you can never go higher. I like the idea of outsourcing although I am against hiring people from other countries in this case. Living with your parents while working remotely is not a bad strategy. This creates a financial safety net for young people.

It's a pretty common problem for a lot of people, but I think that it's because not everyone has enough money to afford their own home. All we need to do is to find a good job and stick to it. I've read information that being a speaker can be a pretty good job. What do you think about it? How much money can a man earn by being a speaker? I would love to learn more about it. Thanks in advance.
