Sources say Negrin stepped into the machine during the training session and became embarrassed and angry when a supervisor started cracking jokes about his manhood, made visible by the new machine.
...if this latest incident is any indication, the scanners sound like good news for anti-terrorism and bad news for less-than-average men.

What's sad here is that we have a story that focuses on stupid crap like this, when we now have had 3 or 4 folks manage to pass through various security screenings to attempt to blow up planes, or just leave their SUVs smoking in Times Square and then be allowed to board an airplane about to leave the country.

But the "highly trained federal force" The New York Times promised us on Oct. 28, 2001, when the paper demanded that airport security be federalized, failed to stop the only guy they needed to stop at JFK last Monday -- the one who planted a bomb in the middle of Times Square days earlier.
So why were 100,000 other passengers harassed and annoyed by the TSA?
The federal government didn't stop the diaper bomber from nearly detonating a bomb over Detroit. It didn't stop a guy on the "No Fly" list from boarding a plane and coming minutes away from getting out of the country.
If our only defense to terrorism is counting on alert civilians, how about not bothering them before they board airplanes, instead of harassing them with useless airport "security" procedures?

Much like folks accusing Bush of missing the mark when he redirected our armed forces from Afghanistan to Iraq - it is probably time for the FBI, TSA and others to stop focusing on militia groups (who have not committed any acts of any kind) and put their focus back on making sure the Islamic terrorists stop making it in to the US, or becoming naturalized citizens.
