The problem was that Montreal realized they didn't need much offense to beat Mike Green, so they kept a lot of guys back by their net, keeping the Caps away as much as possible and waiting for their chance for a Habs wing or center to hit a goal. Almost every attempt by the Caps last night was a slap-shot through two or three defenders.
This is what happens when you have a one-dimensional team. The Caps need a stouter defense for the playoffs...one that will keep them in a game those nights when the offense doesn't show up, like last night. I don't give a fuck how many goals Mike Green scores in a season. How many goals does he keep from BEING scored, that's what fucking matters!
