As reported by Program Manager Paul Duckworth on the stations website:

"Andy Parks, a name synonymous with 630 WMAL for nearly 25 years as morning host and airborne traffic reporter, is no longer with us"

Yep. It's amazing that he and Steven Spielberg would end up passing away on the same day! Both of them gone so young...

Also did you guys hear about Chuck Berry?

I think he's still alive, he used to be a famous guitarist. I was just curious if anyone had ever heard about him.

He's not dead; he was laid off. Read the whole statement:

"Andy Parks, a name synonymous with 630 WMAL for nearly 25 years as morning host and airborne traffic reporter, is no longer with us. Andy is an extraordinary talent, consummate professional and friend. Andy, we salute you and thank you for your immeasurable contributions to WMAL.”

"In the theater of talk radio, you are allowed to paint with an awfully wide brush stroke" - Paul Duckworth.

The "no longer withg us" were Paul's words, exactly. So I stand by the fact that Andy is no longer with us. Pray for his family.

it was unfunny to begin with and continues to be unfunny. I wish you luck in your future attempts at humor.

As an avid WMAL listener, I know to parse a statement in order to understand the statement's significance. Just last week WMAL isolated part of the President's speech to conclude he was a socialist. You need to, like WMAL does with anything nancy Pelosi says, only take the first sentence of a paragraph to draw a conclusion. WMAL has taught me this method.

Now, if Paul Duckworth writes that Andy Parks "is no longer with us." we need to stop right there and conclude Andy is dead.
