..if America is so racist, why are there so many race hoaxes? Virtually every time we read about a swastika painted on a door, or a noose hanging from a tree to taunt blacks, it turns out to be either a false alarm or, more frequently, a hoax.

Whites still control much of the corporate and political power in America.
When a black kid is shot by another black in Washington DC, there is financial remedy that can be sought. Yes, maybe you can sue the shooter, but they likely don't have any money.
Now if McDonalds does something totally awful, like telling black kids to stop loitering, the activist groups pounce. They will push for job set asides, compensation and diversity training that enriches fellow activists.
Plus as whole, these hate crimes forment hatred and mistrust. Dems and libs want blacks to fear these imaginary white boogey men and have berserk knee jerk reactions to imaginary bigotry. This keeps the blacks loyal to Democrats and sustains the grievance industries.
It's an Invisible Tax on whites.

What is awful about restricting loitering in a McDonalds? Nothing of course.
Guess what - restaurants since their existence in America discourage crowds of kids loitering. Has NOTHING to do with race. I grew up in an area in the 1950s! that had no minorities and the diners would chase the white teenagers out if we stayed too long without buying anything or got a little noisy. It's called civilization. Has nothing to do with race.
