My lil sis is really into Twilight, but not to the point of getting ink like that. I think it's normal for a chick to be into it, but if it's a dude, I'm definitely questioning that.

However, one of my lady friends just changed her FB last name to the last name of that guy pictured above, so maybe that is really....hmmm....I'm not sure.

Our society encourages complete and total adoration of pop culture. Doesn't matter if the topic is any good, just if enough people think it is. Twilight is a prime example of a so-so set of books that got some serious money to make into movies and various collector items to help promote the product. It appeals to a certain market that is desperate for something to idolize. With nothing better around, Twilight has blossomed into a mega money maker.

And it doesn't hurt that the guys in it are cute. Well, at least the girls who watch the movies think they're cute.

Dumb movies, bad books, crazy fad. It'll pass eventually. When something better takes it's place.
