Some evidence shows that arginine may help improve blood flow in the arteries of the heart. That may improve symptoms of clogged arteries, chest pain or angina, and coronary artery disease.
However, there currently is no data on how the long-term use of arginine affects cholesterol or heart health.
Since arginine may help arteries relax and improve blood flow, it may also help with erectile dysfunction.
Not all studies on arginine have been positive. A 2006 study showed that arginine was not helpful -- and may have been harmful -- for treating heart attacks in combination with standard treatment.
I took it for a while and it was great. The body processes it pretty quickly but you can take a good maintenance dose throughout the day and get the benefits from it. Weightlifters like it because it helps with endurance and recovery from workout.
I know I got major boners while taking it, like bigger than I ever had before, I guess from improved blood flow. But (there's always a "but") the main drawback is if you get cold sores from time to time then arginine can cause them to occur more. That's why I had to stop taking it - I got a major cold sore outbreak, which totally sucked. But damn, it was great other than that.
No, I have never tried it, honestly. If you are looking for something for your blood preassure, I recommend that you check out the service on eDrugStore.com which is really good and working. What do you think?
