HANGING BY A THREAD: Surviving Globalism and Losing Factory Culture in the
Embroidery Capital of the World
A Breitbart News Special Report from Frances Martel
HAVANA ON THE HUDSON: THE STORY OF UNION CITY, NEW JERSEY
N AMERICAN COMMUNITY VS CASTRO, CHINA, NAFTA, WTO, AND The GLOBAL ELITE

--------------------------

THAT'S TOTAL BULLSHIT. it is China trying to mis-educate america that americans only ever made embroidery.

AMERICA WAS BIG BIG IN THE CLOTHING INDUSTRY ALL ACROSS THE BOARD - untile Bill Clinton (but not in early early america - then we got fabric from ... England)

NEW YORK CITY OWNS ALL IMPORTANT CLOTHING PATENTS: IE, FOR POLYESTER - and not just polyester, polyester that breathes well and doesn't stink quickly - the valued kind

------------

the chinese would like you to think usa only did embroidery and has always subsisted in china

IT ISN'T TRUE, IT ISN'T EVEN A LITTLE TRUE

------------------

MOST OF USA WAS MADE IN USA IN THE 1980'S BEFORE BILL CLINTON

REPUBLICANS WERE AND STILL ARE OUTRAGED WHAT UN-REGULATED DEMOCRATS DID: sold out the american worker for a quick dollar, said "fuck you" about the consequences of doing it

in the 80's there were a healthy amount of "available imports"

but people avoided buying them - AND WERE NOT FORCED TO BUY THEM (becasue the made in usa better product was in stock)

another things: embroidery was NEVER AN IMPORTANT MARKET. it was "a chick thing", and women didn't think of embroidery as an essential they thought of it as as a far flung thing like un-necessary jewlery. they'd buy foreign embroidery because it was foreign like they'd buy a commemorative plate from france for decoration - that kind of thing.

(there was never an important embroidery market in the usa)

AND THE CLOTHING MARKET - IS STILL IMPORTANT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE BEING NAKED.

IT'S HIGH TECH INDUSTRY. MACHINES. JOBS.
