That is a great idea to put a scissor lift, but you have to know that you can't use it by yourself without any license or certificate. Scissor lifts can be dangerous and can cause accidents leading to personal injuries as well as structural and equipment damage. Current regulations state that all personnel who work with or near scissor lifts must be trained and licensed. I suggest you getting aerial lift certification to use it.

Scissors can be dangerous. Always lift scissors carefully and make sure they are closed before grabbing hold of them. Never, ever run with scissors.

I think that it depends on what works you're going to do, the scissors lift is not a serious and big machine to be licensed at all. Because there are a lot of people working in our company without any license and they are doing their job better than many others. If you want to practice and get your licence, I can recommend you to rent one from Fleet Up. They have very good prices there and I am sure you will find one near your place. Usually I am using this website when I need to buy something related to construction, they have the best prices on the market.

Yes, usually it is in house training by a Public Safety official, you take a written test and a driving test where you work. It is actually a Hoisting license , easy.

A very good platform, I am buying builders equipment there.

My friend rented a lift from Fleet UP Marketplace and the lift stopped working half way through the job!

Ever since then he uses United Rentals and has never had a problem. Check them out!
