Toyota has had to recall several models of its AEB-equipped "driverless braking" cars: driverless cars, even automated braking: endangering lives and uses pedestrian kills to COLLECT AI DATA

Toyota has had to recall several models of its AEB-equipped cars: it failed to break in some instances - and did emergency brakes for (ie, somthing innert like mcdonalds trash in the street) in others

IT'S A CRIME THEY EVEN PUT SUCH BULLSHIT ON THE ROAD

THEY ARE USING USA PEDESTRIANS AND FAMILIES AS LAB RATS

FUCKING ASIANS

they are collecting data for their bad "AI" software that relies on past data to perform - they don't give a crap who dies

What’s With Hitting Parked Emergency Vehicles? At least three times this year, Tesla cars have plowed into parked vehicles.

Google / chinese AI is BAD AI - it bases decision making on past data and some over-general rules of success and often mean failure

there are many kinds of AI (having personally read AI magazines in the early 1990's) - the kind that's being used today is TOTALLY FAKE - it's the dummy AI of early computing (it has no scientific value - success decisions made upon past data)

there are thinkers, learning systems, directly programmed intelligencia, all kinds of

the AI being "marketed heavily" by google an nVdia an others forces you to write rules that decide the success or failure of PAST EXPERIENCED EVENTS

specifically - programming such a thing in a driverlesss situation would require running over things intentionally: for data, to TRAIN THE LEARNING SYSTEM

but it gets worse - some of these "driverless braking" are JUST BAD MATH meaning it's just some equation that says "if it's on the camera hit the brake hard" - which is totally irresponsible. what about the thinking? there is no thinking that's all a big scam to sell stocks, cheat customers. doesn't work. all a lie.

think maybe the white powder with all the fancy write-ups is actually just badly made white powder that never had a real chemmical formula?

is your side effects list longer than the proposed benefit? is death on the warning label?

do you suspect no real chemistry was done it's all a scam and fda never tested it and it's all poison pills from germany?

THE FACT IS POPULAR LEARNING SYSTEM AI IS A TOTAL FAILURE (it's useful in trivial situations like npc xbox game and choose seating arrangement for airlines ?)

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN OVER ENOUGH PEOPLE TO TRAIN IT

but they are telling you these cars "use ai"

but i just told you learning system AI could never ever be used

the fact is the kind of intelligence needed would be directly programmed (an app, a program) which does not thinking on it's own (guess work disallowed) ... of a size and complexity that's indescribable

they are telling investors and the public there is artificial intelligence involved

I SUBMIT THAT'S A LIE - because the only "math" that could do the job is not classified as "artificial intelligence" because it has no and does not revolve around any "evolved decisions" (only correct pre-programmed ones would be allowed). even then - there would be no time or space to run such a mammoth of a program. INFACT, IN THE 80'S AND 90'S it was semi-popular joke to set up programmers who didn't understand the world couldn't fit into a computer for a few laughs at their lack of "perspective of scope and scale"

so in the 90's the AI gig for learning systems was HELP SYSTEMS, using AI to steer questions to an answer - it was one of the very few areas where AI "could find a job"

IT WAS ABANDONED. it costs allot of IT staff money and WEB PAGES, combined with integral searching, were more "book like organized" and far more useful. microsoft developer network is a good example of a website that one tried AI (for blue screen questions) and instead become an online WEB publication of information (they dropped the AI)

Toyotas are being recalled AGAIN for the Takata airbag problems. Turns out the re-engineered new ones only last for about 3 years, then they have to recall again to replace, for those living in high humidity climate regions..

No surprise at all. Honda was involved in a coverup over the takata airbags in their cars. Consumers were being killed, no biggie for honda.

YUGOSLAVIA - in the ?early 2000's the government opened the doors for car insurance companies to come in (previously kept out)

Insurers raced to become dominant in the area.

They got initial high accident data (tried to get the government to implement dui's to help out) but had mis-understood it.

THE ACCIDENTS CONTINUED AT AN ALARMING RATE

the insurers leanred that yugo's though nothing of ripping off insurance companies from foreign countries: they were intently wrecking cars to get new ones WHOLE SALE

the insurers could do nothing - they couldn't "ask the governent to arrest 1/2 the nation": they were FUCKED - took a big loss in yugoslavia

WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY EVER DO A SINGLE CRASH TEST? just wait for sucker NTSB and insurance to pay, that's how you get your studies funded

some people undertand that big computer companies have thrives by "forced upgrades", by intentionally cross-wiring new software to kill old computers and old software (thus the name "forced upgrade")

LESS PEOPLE KNOW THAT CAR MAKERS AND DEALERSHIPS HAVE BEEN USING FORCED UPGRADES TO get more money.

"fake recalls" - they send you a threatening letter you won't be safe if you don't come in - whne you come in they say the work is done and they hit you up for a $$$list of repairs (which is EXACTLY why the phony recalls happen - to force you back into the dealership)

you get a threatening letter your car brake safety software needs upgrading ...

* if you don't do it and there's an accident, you will be sued for ignoring a safety issue - it won't be Toyota's fault

* but they always have a software upgade ready, so you'll have to camp outside Toyota if you want all the latest safety updates

and what if this forced `safety' upgrades COMES UP AFTER YOUR OUT OF WARRANTEE ??

the kind that comes to you out of warrantee let me read it to you: new car computer mother fucker - pay up

For example radar is often transmitted through cold, dry snow. If the transmitted signal then hits a patch of smooth ice underneath the snow, it will reflect back up through the snow. ... Surface variations on the order magnitude of the radar wavelength will scatter radar as specified by the Raleigh criterion.

Topaz-V MR-320M russia radar is a 2 demensional ship tracking system (to avoid collision or give firing coordinates, your choice)

like any radar between 80's and 2000's it has layers: the radar return, computer readouts on top

IT TAKES AN EXPERT TO READ IT, because radars have "ghosts" and other complex features that even trick experts during wartime (ie, when they are not fooling around, still fooled)

a fine maritime system will set you back a few million dollars: and wouldn't be anywhere near technically capable of keep you safe in a driving situation

collision avoidance system, also known as a precrash system, forward collision warning system, or collision mitigation system, is an automobile safety system designed to prevent or reduce the severity of a collision. It uses radar (all-weather) and sometimes laser (LIDAR) and camera (employing image recognition) to detect
