CNN Headline - Nothing Newsworthy
Date: March 16, 2010 01:06PM

In case you missed it, CNN's headline this afternoon is about babies on planes and what a headache they are...

http://www.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/03/16/babies.crying.planes/index.html?hpt=C1

...I suggest we lobby CNN to change its name to Cable Nothing Network, because increasingly this is the kind of nonsensical shit they are running. They might as well shut down now.

I miss the good old days when you had to act like a human to ride on a plane. People now look like leftovers from a Jerry Springer show and act like it too.

I heard that British Airways still has a dress code but I am usually on domestic flights so not sure. I have seen people in jogging shorts, tank tops, curlers and shirts that look like they just came from a chili cookoff.

I cant begin to describe how some of the travelers smell. One woman brought her cat on board and about halfway into the flight it crapped in the carrying crate. If there is a worse smell out I havent come across it yet. You could smell it through the whole plane. She was one of those flakes that talked to the cat the whole trip.

Wow, they really phoned it in on this one. They used comments from the comment section instead of interviewing actual people. That's quality journalism.

They need to implement no children sections, the way that they have no smoking sections, period. Everywhere. Airplanes, restaurants, everywhere. Nature has seen fit to make a baby's cry as obnoxious and irritating as possible, to make people give the baby what it needs so it stops making that godawful noise. The rest of us shouldn't have to suffer through that.

Maybe they could implement "kid flights", where when you buy your ticket(s), you're asked if you're bringing a baby or child under 8. If you check yes, then you are only able to get one or two selected flights per day or every other day. It would work for popular destinations such as Florida, but probably not for less travelled locations like North Dakota.

While they are at it, they can stop supplementing their stories with "Let's check out the blogosphere and see what you are saying about current events."

Evidently CNN is starting to make a move to the right to try and reach out to a more diverse audience...

CNN hires conservative RedState blogger Erick Erickson.

...
In a statement, CNN Political Director Sam Feist called Erickson a “perfect fit” for the network’s new show “John King USA” that debuts Monday.

“Not only is he an agenda-setter whose words are closely watched in Washington but as a person who still lives in small-town America, Erick is in touch with the very people John hopes to reach,” Feist said. “With Erick’s exceptional knowledge of politics as well as his role as a conservative opinion leader, he will add an important voice to CNN’s ideologically diverse group of political contributors.”
...

Evidently they have recognized the problem and are trying to move toward relevancy again.
