FINALLY - WE SEE A SHRED OF EVIDENCE THAT GAO, FAKE WAGE REPORTS, OTHER GOVERNMENT CREATORS OF FAKE DATA, CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE - though this case is very isolated likely because it was deliberate and effected targeted republican partiy states - in which case it's a wonder $750k was the penalty: tens of millions should have been, and jailtime, because that was the damages incurred - although it's a wonder if the states did not confirm outside data, perhaps that was the lenient factor in the penalty
GAO is the worst - producing fake wage sheets that triple government pay: no one has been sued or served jailtime for it, but the fake data has been historically infamous producer of WAGE GAP.

CORRECTION: states consuming paid up data should NOT be forced to confirm it, the premise of paying for data is that it is already proof and paid for. it would be a crime to BUY OR SELL fake data. states should NEVER pay for data from DC that is not to be trusted
