Why won't my toyota corolla go above 115 mph?

The speedometer goes up to 140 but the car absolutely will not go over 115. What is the deal??

first put the car on a lift. next pull the oil drain plug. allow the oil to drain completely and replace it with honey. the honey will attract africanized honey bees. these bees are much more athletic than american WASPS and will carry your car to an altitude of approximately 23,000 feet. once you get up there there the nog-bees will drop you like a sack of bricks because they are lazy to the core. go ahead and calculate the terminal velocity yourself, Im lazy too but im sure it will be over 140mph by the time you touch down

you need a bigger engine, you probably only have a 4 cylinder. try finding a used V8 somewhere, maybe at a junkyard or online. you can find good deals on used engines, it should run ya about 2-3 thousand. put that under your hood and you'll be getting those tops speeds you're looking for.
