Moreno v Basl Interesting
Posted by: From a Disinterested Party ()

So for many of us with lives its difficult to understand half of the ravings going on in these threads. The names 'Mark' 'Miz' 'eesh' 'Philip Leiser' mean nothing to us nor do rants about various accusations of money owed nor court actions.

I took it upon myself to look up the latter name and 'Moreno' and found a fascinating case Moreno v. Basl case 17-32341-KLP https://www.casemine.com/judgement/us/5af90ff88d82840a91f758cd

Its interesting in that William and Sharon Moreno (plaintiffs) were pleading to have their million dollar settlement against Josef Basl (defendant) held as non-dis-chargeable under bankruptcy code. Basl had filed for Chapter 7 protection and sought to have all his debts discharged after liquidation of his assets.

Its an interesting read by the Judge - essentially plaintiffs lost because they failed to show malice in defendant needed to hold the debt non-dis-chargeable. Surprising given the level of damages awarded to the Morenos in a previous stalking ruling against Basl. It would seem plantif's error was assuming the previous judgement alone would satisfy the malice requirement for debt non-dis-chargeabilty - it didnt.

So Morenos won a large monetary award in a stalking case (borne from Fairfax Underground altercation gone into the real world) but could collect none of it because the defendant simply filed for Chapter 7.

As is the case so many times in legal actions no one wins. People seeking 'justice' through litigation are misinformed and usually disappointed. Its expensive and takes a lot of time and in the end you cannot get blood from a stone. I feel sorry for all involved really.

In closing, all these posts here about the 'Miz' (sorry dont know the story there) and Phillip Leiser are undoubtedly by Josef Basl using most if not all of his time here in some misguided or pathological belief he can extract some kind of understanding or justice himself. An unlikely outcome. If you are one of the few still visiting this site wondering who the person who is always here, always talking about lawyer fees of others, or 'Gerry' or 'Miz' or 'Leiser' and yes, a strong proponent for Trump and probably a self-loathing gay person - I believe it is Josef.

Ironic the person that posts every 10 minutes about mooching libtards used Chapter 7 to get out of his debts and is now himself penniless with the worst possible credit rating for the next 7 years. Chapter 7 means no one will loan you a dime for at least 7 years.

Looks like the Morenos when on the cheap and just submitted the previous judgement without thought to standards for the new case. They needed to spend substantial funds to provide evidence of malice (which surely existed). Even then, they never would have collected a fraction of the 1 million plus from Mr. Basl - he is unemployed with virtually no assets. No doubt he will be a burden on society for the remainder of his life.

Mr. Basl is 'SSI' Social Security Income - you think I am a person who receives these benefits? I assume you do not dispute the veracity of my assumptions.

The Moreno's can always refile after eesh's chapter 7 runs out after 7 years. All eesh did was give himself 7 years of bad credit and liquidate his assets.

As for all the bumping of Lessor and Miz threads, we all came to the same conclusion that eesh is throwing a temper tantrum for some reason.

So Mr. Basl spends the afternoon here 'defending' himself by discussing his victims. Not a very logical approach. When you lose a 1.4 million dollar suit brought against you then file Chapter 7 why not just move on with your life? Why keep dragging it out?

Finally, all 3 Morenos were awarded 6 figure judgements against Mr. Basl so its incorrect to say one brought another to court or the 'fight' - they filed as plaintiffs together and each won awards by the jury.

No idea who Liz or Miz are if there is a case on them Im glad to review it. This is mildly interesting.

Good evening Mr. Moreno,

May I call you William or perhaps you prefer to be known as Miz? You were banned from this site in no uncertain terms. You have harassed, stalked, defamed, and libeled as many as a couple dozen individuals, many of whom did absolutely nothing to harm you and many were not even regulat visitors to Fairfax Underground. In fact you have done more things -- and worse things, to harm more people than your Internet adversary was even accused of.

You ruined your family's reputation and finances, and contributed to the untimely death of your father. You claim to have been injured on this site, yet you constantly return to pick up your imbecilic jihad.

Had you been paying attention during the time your boyfriend Mr. Basl was away for impersonating your dead cat, you would have noticed that there was little to no change in posts made about you. Evidently you were the only one who failed to notice and process that information.

To put it succinctly, nobody likes you, and nobody wants you here. Now run along back to your elderly widowed mother who still works to support your pathetic existence and who loves you as mothers are wont to do. Try not to take her with you on your stalking expeditions. She is almost 70.

So 'Miz' is William Moreno? Ok that clears that up. Are you commenting in general or do you believe he started the thread? I started it and I assure you that I am not he.

Were there legal actions against the alleged actions taken by Mr. Moreno? Id be interested in reading those cases too. Ill continue to refer to you as Mr. Basl as you have not indicated you wish to be called by your first name.

You may call me whatever you like. I certainly do not refer to myself as Mr. Basl nor do I use any other name associated with that individual.

Nevertheless it is quite odd -- bordering on inconceivable -- that someone who is truly disinterested and who purports to be ignorant of most of the events and details of the past five to eight years surrounding the Miz/Liz/eesh/Megan drama would assign authorship and the motivation of random posts to some specific individual based purely on reading one single case summary, much less do so with such a sense of conviction and certainty.

Indeed, if you are not the pedophile and banned poster Mr. William Robert Moreno, aka Mr. Misery aka Miz aka jimmylegs, you most definitely are someone with an affiliation to the Moreno Crime Family, their "crack legal team", or the case.

Bottom Line: You are a sock puppet and no one is buying your story. Hasta la vista, Miz, Phil, David, Sharon, or whoever you really are...(and try to get over your gay crush on eesh)

^no Im really not affiliated with anyone from this site or with any interest in any of the legal matters. I surmised that the obsessive behavior against those who I now know are the Moreno family would logically be from the very person whose life was destroyed by the very same behavior. Its speculation to be sure.

I guess my motivation and ultimately the revelation was trying to understand what type of a person would have such easily identifiable obsession with those topics and this site. I read the case cited and I can honestly say it was amazing to me this virtual sillyness here metastasized into into such an unhappy real world outcome.

This brings to mind the woman who ended her life, many allege, due to postings on this site. Its strange to think how serious and harmful this seemingly inane site can become in the real world.

As a casual observer I would say you are way off.

When I came here Eesh was one of the BMOC. He was involved in this soap opera with other personas including Miz and Lizzie. Their antics were largely ignored by most on this forum. Meanwhile Phil Leiser was just an attorney who got a minimal amount of bad publicity here by trying to collect from one of his deadbeat clients.

Then the shit hit the fan, and the soap opera moved to center stage. When that happened behavior on this forum that was attributed to Miz left a number of posters ill disposed towards Miz. That continues to today. Eesh may still be taking shots at Miz, but whenever someone tries to stir up support for Miz it isn't just Eesh who throws water on it. Maybe this is something you have to live through to recognize.

Kind of funny that the Moreno's lawyers are all declaring bankruptcy themselves or being sued and on the run from creditors. The case links are all here you can look them up. The Leiser's house was even foreclosed and up for auction, not sure what happened though.

A few years ago as a result of underwater real estate and a divorce I too had to file Chapter 7. In truth I was surprised there was really not much of a negative effect at all. I kept a couple credit cards, but even if I hadn't, it is easy to get a secured card which can be switched to credit or used to establish credit. I also bought another house shortly after my bankruptcy and was surprised to find that lenders do not view bankruptcy as a showstopper. The interest rate was not as good, but I have since refinanced to the going market rate.

My experience is not unique and bankruptcy is not the stigma or horror it was in the past.

I never said 'our lives are ruined' but it makes sense that everyone associated with this lawsuit came out the worse for it (except judge and jury).

What I said was 'the very person whose life was destroyed by the very same behavior' - I was referring to Mr. Basl and his apparent OCD - after a 1.4 million dollar judgement, then chapter 7 and I believe there was an arrest and jail time, Basl would likely qualify for saying his life was destroyed. I doubt that was what he or his parents envisioned his young adulthood would be growing up.

The fact that he still frequents this place is, I suppose, a predictable manifestation of just how extreme his dysfunction is.

How could you possibly know who I am? I cannot prove who I am not. Why is it so important to you?

I have stated I thought both sides lost in this case - I wouldnt want to be any of the parties. All I know is one party was stalked and harassed and the other party, most certainly you, had a 1.4 million dollar judgement against you and went Chapter 7. Did the plaintiffs suffer more harm than you - I honestly have no idea.

After reading the Judge's ruling, I finally realized what type of person would go to such lengths over a website like this one. Same person that raves hear all day every day. Remarkable really.

Only thing interesting about this whole thing is I finally realized the who and why of this site regarding the OCD poster who is always so angry and thinks he is a master troll.

Aren't you supposed to be taking some sort of life skills course in how to take the bus, fill out a job application at McDonalds, etc?

Why, oh why, do you keep coming back to a site that allegedly traumatized you?

And how can you posit yourself as having come out better than eesh?
He did not blow a fortune on lawyers, did not kill his father and alienate his family, did not make an ass of himself on tv, and does not have a psycho girlfriend about to get out of prison and finish the job she started on 9-11.

You are NEVER going regain the status you once imagined yourself to have here. You were always the biggest joke on a forum full of jokes. At least eesh has moved on. Yes, he still posts here, and is even vaguely respected here. That door is closed to you.

Mr. Basl,

Ive obviously struck a nerve, I imagine that is easy to do with you.

Again, I dont presume to know who was damaged more by this entire episode. The only facts I have are the ones in the Chapter 7 ruling. Chapter 7 and a 1.4 Million dollar judgement seem like formidable losses. I dont know about these other injuries and losses you speak of but as I have repeatedly have said - everyone involved lost.

Also, 'Liz' is Mr. Moreno's girlfriend and is currently incarcerated? I guess another piece of the puzzle.

Oh and one more thing, you alluded to the ability to have 'status' on this website - is it your belief random, anonymous posters can achieve some kind of elevated social standing vis-a-vis this website? Is that possible and if so how do you imagine that accomplished?

I am not eesh. eesh would never respond to you - he is wise to your pathetic attempts at baiting him, and wise enough to steer clear of you. After all there are plenty of other miz haters to pick up his slack.

You were damaged more - you have been reduced to participating in some sort of remedial program for retards.

And the trail you left behind! That sorry WaPo story, tootguy (more about him below) telling the world you were hiding under the covers, that picture of sharon chaperoning you on your ill-fated mission to retrieve your laptop (pretty humiliating for a 35 year old!).

$300,000 down the drain, and now your mother has to work again, siblings not speaking to you, psycho girlfriend about to get released and come gunning for you and then there's the matter of tootguy - your behavior killed your father!

I think I'd take bankruptcy over that laundry list any day f the week and twice on Sunday! (I've always wanted to use that phrase!)

This is getting repetitive, its clear you feel the Morenos lost more than you with you. Im sure its quite possible. Is this some kind of victory for you and defeat for them? What have you gained by this victory of losing everything you own? Is it somehow better for you because the other party was ultimately harmed more?

If it is important to you I will believe you when you say they were harmed more than you (and that is quite a bit). The real question is what to do now? Look I know you think I am this nemesis of yours, that I am Mr. Moreno. I would encourage you to ignore him and this place - its been nothing but trouble for you. I dont mean this in an insulting way but you need some medical help with your need to be here all the time your need to make all these posts, have all these sock puppet conversations. I hope you do that and I wish you well.

Sure, eesh took some licks, but seems to have learned from them and he has moved on. The adroit fashion in which he circumvented the ridiculous judgment against him has earned him considerable esteem within the legal profession. (Helping push three questionable attorneys over the precipice into bankruptcy was a coup as well.) He has a bright future!

You remain fixated on this forum. This is terrific, from our standpoint, as this means you will welcome lizzie back into your life when she gets out, with the usual calamitous results.

Miz seems to invest a lot of thought and effort into planning these re-entry attempts, only to fail miserably. He invented a new persona and then outed himself before he even got to a backstory. Slip ups like this are a trademark Moreno downfall, similar to his Ronnie Calhoun failure.

A major recurring failure issue is that Miz can never explain why some random new person would suddenly appear out of the blue on this obscure message board, join up with Team Miz, and start bashing eesh for no apparent reason. It would seem that crazy people such as Miz have a hard time even imagining how a normal sane person would act or behave.

We all know your game here.

It has two parts.

A) The part where you insist that you still somehow came out ahead of eesh because of his bankruptcy filing, which was allegedly worse than stabbing your father, being humiliated in the media, giving all your money to corrupt attorneys who now hate you, ultimately killing your father, alienating your family, getting hit on the head by your girlfriend and trying unsuccessfully to SWAT her and on and on and on

B) You think you can bait eesh into doing something stupid, so you can sue him again, this time successfully, only to discover that you still can't get blood out of a turnip.

In reponse:

A) You lost - big time. Your life is over while eesh's goes on.

B) The legally sophisticated eesh knows exactly when, and how, to respond to you wihtout getting chucked into jail.

Give it the fuck up already!

'fag drama' - your words and quite apt. Unless you yourself are 'Miz' then you just presented the naked truth. Your quest for the Holy Grail of 'hurting the Moreno's more than you yourself were hurt (1.4 million dollar settlement leading to your Chapter 7) is in fact 'fag drama'

Well, we COULD talk about you stabbing your father and giving money to your bankrupt attorneys, but hey - that shit's been rubbed into the ground. Let's talk about your 24 meds (thank you lizzie for posting that pic!), or all the phone calls and texts begging lizzie to come back, or how you tried to keep her in jail, and then took out a PYBRotective order against her and then lived with her and then were attacked by her, and lastly what the fuck sharon was sitting on.....

Basl lost too.
2 months jail.
No telling what he spent on the lawyer he had when it first started.
His name in the news as a stalker (true or not, that was the narrative in the articles)
Dozens of court appearances.
Daddy having to come hundreds of miles to baby sit him.
Losing his guns for months.

There were no winners here.
Just a bunch of losers.
Born losers.

Lets face it eesh won by getting a 1.4 million dollar settlement against him then being forced to file Chapter 7 - he is doing victory laps around his mobile home as we speak. Cant say what in the hell Moreno's and their lawyer were thinking spending resources suing someone with no money and no future - now they are broke as fuck too.

Perfect storm of mental illness and alcoholism on all sides. Congrats to eesh on dragging some fucking idiots down to his level I guess. Never get in a fight with someone with nothing left to lose.

If you call being a short, broke, troll like looking faggot winning then I quess your bar is set a lot lower than mine. Let's face it, the entire fab 4 are a bunch of losers. The only thing they're arguing about now is which one is the biggest loser. In my book though a loser is a loser, there are no tiers.

as is Mr. Basl. Id say they all deserve each other. I wish there were a place like Australia was in the old days we could send them all to live in the filth of their own, unimaginative failure.
