People were posting threats against the police and politicians of Oregon. The last thing they want is for some gun nut to follow through with killing a bunch of people, and then everybody will be asking Reddit "why didn't you do something??" Or worse, sue them for allowing their site to be a staging area for domestic terrorists.

Reddit is a private company, and can restrict content as they see fit. I see three possible remedies for the right:

1. Regulate them like a public utility. Set rules to insure a level playing field. The problem is that the Republicans have been griping about over regulation for years, and this would be government regulation of ideas. Kind of hypocritical.

2. Boycott them, and anybody who does business with them. That might work, but them people of the right would not have the benefit of this social media. Would maybe pose a problem.

3. Create your own social media. I've always wondered why, with a few notable exceptions, the Right's media sucks so bad, and the "MSM" is dominant.

It was media matters making those shitposts. It was all new posters making them. Then they wrote a story about it on their website and then sent it to the commies who run reddit, who quarantined them. Time for Barr to start looking into all this. Hard.

The content was never reported the moderators. The complaint went straight to the admins.

Kinda right. All conservatives want is fairness. If you're going to have a hair trigger on "hate speech", then have it for both the right and left.
