Anyone read 'Guns of August' by Barbara Tuchman?

Frankly, I prefer an alternate history in which World War One doesn't happen. (Followed by WWII not happening, the Cold War not happening, post-Cold War blowback not happening...)

Haven't read it. If you want alternate/distorted history without war and violence you were born on the wrong planet. Read the Bible or any text.

Even with all it's alternate/distorted untruths, Fox News, can't avoid the violence. Thats what sells tickets and brings in the energized vote.

Read it in sixth grade. Loved it, but it is a Readers Digest history of the events
