If you start burning fags - you're going down for murder and probably a hate crime.

Do you own the flag or do you have the owner's permission to burn it? If not it is larceny and vandalism.
Do you own the property where the fire will occur, or is it someplace where open air fires are permitted? If not then you could be prosecuted for an unlawful fire.
Is the purpose of burning the flag to cause fear, or is the flag being burned in a manner that would reasonably be expected to cause fear? If so then you might be subject to prosecution.
The last question comes from a cross burning case.

I think the burning represents hatred. I feel you shouldn’t burn any ones flag to represent hate, if the flag is yours or not.
I don’t think you should burn the homo flag or the American flag.

Everybody in this country enjoys the right of free speech. That is why burning the American flag is legal, unless you break other, unrelated laws doing so. It is a lot like flying the Confederate flag. You have the right to do it, but people are going to treat you like the asshole you are. That is their right
