Does your wireless router suck?

Forget mesh networks or that spider router with 15 antennas pointing in different directions. One of these will cover your whole house.

Turn off the wireless on your router, connect this access point to your router with an ethernet cable and place it centrally on the ceiling of the top floor of your house (comes with a Power over Ethernet injector). Configure through a web interface and you're finished. No deadspots, great signal everywhere - it's commercial grade, not consumer grade and it can handle 200 wifi devices simultaneously connected. All for around $100.

After screwing around with router after router to get good coverage, I will never go back.

gerrymanderer2 (OP) posts several lies on ffu daily - many\.10think he's a fx co gov worker who is getting paid to do it for false DNC democrat "advertising". he floods ffu with useless posts to bump down major news, posts fecal matter, mutilated bodies, child porn, foreign drug ads and sneaker ads, tells people to kill themselves and government should seize them and put them on psych pills in prison - decided by democrat gov of course, promotes kangaroo courthouse trials, gives anti-religious rants, gives satanic ritual rants, posts black males with large dicks on white young females, portends white low birth rate and fall of USA, food tampering/poisoning, and anything possible to DEMORALIZE white people on ffu. (perhaps a chinese prisoner or isis member - but definitely knowledgeable of fx co gov from the inside at times). the website operator has told him "not to post or return" which are still posted - not removed, by the sysop: not because of a political leaning but for continual illegal and gross spam along with messages that are only to demoralize if not kill others. he/she plays at financial terrorism as well: continuall reporting false financial data, and fake emergency please from (fake members of the community he makes up)

pics or it didn't happen

i bought a china wifi extener. it did absolutely nothing but hack the signal LEVEL without providing any USABLE signal

i returned it, but i'm sure china enjoys wasting my time - they are obstructionists

everyone realizes they can pay money and get longer range and that some major brand will be a lie in a pretty box

the question is money, not range and speed

the question is also if distributors have strong ties to china (to push bad units at a big markup and prevent sale of units that really work)

.

Don't listen to OP

if you operate a commercial unit in a home the FCC could fine you $2,000,000

it absolutely has to meet regulations

which is another reason NEVER to buy chinese - because chinese do nothing but break USA regulation and concoct ways to trap america by making everything incompatible with china as the sole maker of the only retail unit that can be found (at walmart homedepot etc)

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS DOUBT THE CHINESE are trying to "help you": they are trying to push usa makers out of the market

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS realize all radio technology was patented (several) decades ago, including IC chip antenna, and realize china isn't paying patents on these technologies

the reason we have wifi and ic chip antenna is because chip production is higher volume and lower cost - not because it wasn't invented decades ago

Huh? Virtually all of their stuff including this is made in China? lol

As far as the APs go, they're not all that. Performance-wise you can do much better. Where they are great is as far as centralized management and config go. But most homers don't really need all that. And the Pro is better than the LR.

Hey, friend, how old are you? :) However, lol, for some people it's really difficult to access to Admin Login, and, to be honest, I found this information 4 years ago... Do you know how I found about it? Once I decided to change the "name" of my WiFi, so I found a lot of info in the Internet, I even followed the steps to accomplish it, and I decided that I will sort out without the guide, and as a result I had to call Internet provider guys to repair it. As a result, even that repair man didn't even know how to access the Admin Login, so he found an article about 192.168.1.1 login and fixed everything. To be honest, I simply did the same steps as it was said in the article to access Admin Login, and now I change the name of my WiFi each week :)

I thought only i have problems with router. All last week i was sick and tired because of my router. I tried everything but still he was working to slow and my devices could not connect to Wi-Fi. Many times i called to customer support but still nobody could help me. Once i woke up and found this guys https://router-admin.net/ip/192-168-1-1 and they saved my life. Next morning i had new router and everything was working just perfect. Finally i connected my Ipad and my phone to wireless connection. One problem solved but still i have a lot things to do. I think it will never end.

I recently bought myself a new router and it suits me completely. It works in two bands at once (2.4GHz and 5GHz), which is very cool since my Internet network has a speed of 1Gbps, and 2.4GHz networks simply cannot handle such a high speed. Also, I noticed that many users complain about the small range of their router. Perhaps in the settings the range is simply reduced. Manufacturers of routers from the factory reduce the radius in order not to interfere with neighboring networks. Check the settings of your router, it might help you. But also do not forget that if you buy a very cheap router, then of course it will be shitty, like any other thing. Of course, there are many cool budget routers, but you need to choose the right ones for your home so that there will be no problems in the future.

Send back that Fios router that costs you $12 a month to rent. Superior routers are only $150 to buy and they will last a decade or more.

My current wireless router is quite bad and I really want to change it. To find the best access point isn't that easy since there are too many options but thanks to different reviews I managed to narrow it down.

The IP address "192.168.10.1" is a common default IP address used for accessing the web interface of many routers and network devices. This IP address is often associated with home or small business routers, and manufacturers use it as the default gateway to access the device's settings.
