True. Virginia Democrats were almost more moderate than most Democrats. Ralph Northam even voted for George Bush twice. But that's all gone. They're wanting to make Virginia into the California of the East Coast. The Virginia Democrats like Harry Byrd- who were actually paleo conservatives are long gone.

Pat Robertson is still alive and well! God bless him. He speaks the truth.

The truth he speaks is that for more affluent white people who think the way he does, things were better back when his father was in Congress. When the rules were changed so that poorer Virginians, newcomers and Virginians of color could vote, his father was swept from office, as he should have been. His legacy should have been swept into the dustbin of history. Instead Falwell and his son clothed it in religion and figured out how to market it using Federal government granted FCC licenses, tax exemptions and tax favored charitable contributions.

Thank God for places like Liberty University residing in the Commonwealth. Otherwise, our fate as a progressive oasis would be sealed.
